So, Who Are you Really Trying To Convince?

News Flash, I don't have a magic wand or a pill that I can prescribe for weight loss and healthy lifestyle change. My most valuable tool is teaching you to empower yourself.......

With that said, If you need my help, I am here for you.

But, don't tell me you are gluten free/dairy free and you bake cookies on a regular basis and, oh, you exclude butter, because, who are you really trying to convince?

Certainly, don't tell me you "eat lots of salads" but your 20 lbs over weight, and a Type 2 diabetic, are you hearing yourself?

Or, my personal favorite, "I barely eat a thing and I exercise every day, why am I still overweight????

We don't lose weight by being gluten free/dairy free alone. We don't lose weight by eliminating the things we love, and we certainly are not going to lead a healthy, fit lifestyle by employing a personal trainer and expecting him or her to make the changes for you.

My most successful clients I have every worked with, came in ready to create change.

When we think of relationships, we default to that with other people.

As a matter of fact, one of the most valuable lessons I hope to teach my daughter - ask her - she will back me up on this - is honesty.

Because, Honesty is at the core of any healthy relationship.

But, don't forget, we have a realtionship with ourselves that must also be honored.

In order to be successful in anything, we must first be honest with ourselves.

With that in mind, If you want to be successful in your quest for a healthy fit lifestyle, it starts with honesty - you need to be honest with the most important person in your life - YOU!.

With that said, I challenge you this week to take a look at what is really holding you back from reaching your healthy lifestyle goals. Take a good, hard look at what you are eating, how much you are eating, and what time of day you are eating it. Regardless of whether or not it is organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar free, if you are over-eating , you will put on weight. Worse, if you over eat late in the evening or If you are one of those who eats like a bird all day, then over-eats at night, this is where your honesty begins.......

My friends, change is on the horizon, It starts at home and it starts with you.

After assessing your eating habits, this week, choose one thing to work on.

Did you know, it takes 21 days to change a habit? Give yourself a break, change doesn't happen over night.

Check back with me next week, my blog comes out every Sunday.

Have a beautiful, peaceful week!

xoxo, Kathleen
