Very simple:
Don't eat too much - your body will tell you when you are full - eat slowly and wait for the first burp or feeling of satiation - then put your fork down and walk away from the table. When we overwhelm the digestive tract, digestion slows down or worse, comes to a complete halt.
Don't Eat Too fast - take time to taste your food. Put away your phone - pay attention to what you are eating. Enjoy its taste and texture. Chew your food at least 20-30 times for easier digestion.
Too often - when we eat too often, we are not giving our digestion enough time to break down, assimilate and eliminate the last meal. Again, this causes a backup and slower digestion.
Don't Eat Too late - eat at least 3 hours before you go to bed. At night, the body is in detox mode, eliminating toxins from our major organs. During sleep, the body undergoes a series of complex physiological processes that are essential for recovery, hormone regulation, and overall health. When we it late, our body is forced to digest the food making detox slower and less efficient.
Stop snacking - Eat 3 meals a day that include protein, carbs and fat. If you eat enough protein, you will not get hungry between meals and better yet, it eliminates the desire for sugar.
Enjoy!
