The First Step Is Honesty

Ditch the apps on your phone and computer. Let's go back to the days of writing things down. Sounds antiquated? Not so! The very act of sitting down at a desk or table and writing in a journal, creates awareness.

If you are going to follow along and train with me, over the next 8 weeks, you need a notebook. This notebook is your journal, your healthy lifestyle bible. Be honest with yourself, not me. Honesty about what you do is the first step in creating change. You have to own it.

When I ask a new client why they have engaged my services for fitness training, 9 times out of 10, they will tell me for "accountability." I then suggest a notebook to keep track of meals, etc. Nine times out of 10..... they will make up an excuse as to why it isn't working - "I bought one, but forgot to write things down." "Can I use the computer?" "I can sum it up at the end of the day?" "I don't like writing things down, can I email you?"

Having a notebook with you at all times, writing things down with a pen and paper, will create the accountability you need. The trick is to be honest as you do it! Don't try to sum it up at the end of the day, it's never accurate!
